Job Description

As the Assistant General Manager at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all hotel operations and supporting the General Manager. You will be responsible for coordinating activities to ensure efficiency, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in daily operations and delegation of tasks.
  • Provide training to staff and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
  • Act as the hotel's public relations representative and maintain positive guest relations.
  • Monitor guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Participate in employee selection, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure adherence to franchise and company procedures.
  • Maintain financial records, oversee property maintenance, and conduct inspections.
  • Build strong relationships with staff and departments to enhance hotel operations.
  • Lead hotel team members, uphold grooming standards, and facilitate effective communication.
  • Provide support to the GM in business planning and emergency response.

Requirements

  • Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Degree in hotel management or related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of hospitality experience, including 3-4 years in a similar managerial role.
  • Proficiency in English language skills and computer systems.
