Childcare Associate Teacher

Job Description

Are you passionate about caring for, nurturing, and mentoring children? Keene Young Mens is seeking an Associate Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. Under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and Director, you will be responsible for implementing the program curriculum, providing a quality experience to children and parents, and upholding the YMCA core values.

Responsibilities

• Implement curriculum within established guidelines.
• Design and execute daily lesson and activity plans.
• Supervise children, classroom, and activities.
• Conduct ongoing evaluations of each child.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and engage them in the program.
• Maintain program site, equipment, and records.
• Participate in program activities, family nights, and staff training.

Requirements

• Meet education and experience qualifications; 9 ECE Credits.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Obtain CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Complete health form within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of experience in child development preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
