Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing construction costs on a national level, working closely with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction documents and possess an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop negotiation points with contractors in collaboration with Construction Managers.
• Work with divisional teams to determine appropriate scopes for clarifications and revised pricing.
• Provide current pricing data to divisions for consistency.
• Analyze bids and create reports for project managers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents and proposals.
• Research alternative materials and methods for cost-effective practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction cost software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
