Emergency Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As part of our Emergency and Critical Care Department in Grayslake, IL, you will play a crucial role in triaging and providing care to our patients. This full-time position offers a competitive salary with the opportunity for a hiring bonus of up to $5000. You will work overnight shifts and be part of a supportive and collaborative environment where your contributions are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Triaging incoming patients and managing client interactions.
• Assisting DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Completing daily treatments promptly and efficiently.
• Assisting with the organization and flow of the department.
• Performing tasks such as obtaining and processing laboratory samples and using imaging modalities for patient assessment.
• Monitoring and supporting sedation and anesthetic events.

Qualifications

• General nursing care and treatment experience.
• Administration and monitoring of anesthesia.
• Client communication, education, and assistance.
• High School education or equivalent required.
• Previous related job experience preferred; veterinary technician certification a plus.
