Job Description

We are hiring a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities to foster team growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to enhance store performance.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities for team development.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed.
  • Participate in the interviewing process for store personnel.
  • Supervise day-to-day team operations and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain store cleanliness standards and proper stock levels.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older to be employed.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Operational knowledge of budgeting and personnel costs.
  • Prior retail management experience preferred.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
