Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in store management, overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational plans. You will also focus on team development through training opportunities to enhance performance and foster growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans for operational improvement.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Understand and communicate company strategy and values to build team cohesion.
- Monitor the competitive environment and provide feedback on product assortment.
- Participate in the hiring process and maintain inventory and cash control.
- Ensure operational customer concerns are resolved efficiently.
- Maintain store cleanliness, appropriate stock levels, and merchandise displays.
- Supervise team operations, ensuring customer service excellence and adherence to company policies.
- Perform all duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Ability to stock merchandise, sit, stand, bend, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform various tasks around the store.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations and management principles.
- Proficiency in cash register operation and equipment handling.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- State and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3 years of retail experience with management experience preferred.
