Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to enhance the customer shopping experience. You will collaborate with the Aldi team to provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and keep merchandise displays organized.
• Assist customers with their shopping experience and provide exceptional service.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain accuracy in inventory management.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise and place products on shelves weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Operate equipment and perform general cleaning duties.
• Sit, stand, bend, reach, and move around the store as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
