GENERAL MANAGER

Job Description

At Hood Container Corporation, we are seeking a dynamic General Manager to oversee our Houston, Texas Corrugator Plant. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operations of the plant, managing a team of 180+ employees. This critical role will require you to provide strategic direction, leadership, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all facets of plant operations, including manufacturing, quality, safety, sales, HR, and finance.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Monitor and manage the plant budget to achieve volume and profitability targets.
• Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and integration within the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in a management role; preference for experience in agriculture or wax products.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
