We are seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee and maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for supervising department personnel, managing housekeeping supplies, and ensuring that all housekeeping tasks are carried out efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Create daily assignments for housekeeping staff.
• Supervise and monitor Room Inspectors, Room Attendants, Houseman, Laundry, and Night Houseman.
• Interview, hire, train, and schedule department personnel.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure guest rooms meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain inventory of department supplies and uniforms.
• Test new products and chemicals for the department.
• Communicate with Maintenance department for repairs.
• Inspect guest rooms daily for cleanliness.
• Manage storage areas and conduct monthly inventories.
• Motivate and coach employees to achieve work-related goals.
• Adhere to safety standards and complete administrative paperwork.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
• Detail-oriented in room inspections.
• Teamwork oriented and able to maintain a staff.
• High school diploma required, 3+ years of hotel operations experience preferred.
