Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

Hornblower - City Experiences is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with the Sous Chef and kitchen staff to ensure high levels of quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction on our cruises. Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen staff to follow all health department sanitation codes and maintain high standards of sanitation.
• Recruit and train new kitchen staff as needed.
• Ensure effective execution of each cruise to deliver a quality experience for guests.
• Participate in monitoring and controlling kitchen operation costs and inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of kitchen experience in a high-volume environment.
• ServSafe Certified.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
