Role Summary: Lead Machinist will work in a prototype, development, and production support machine shop. Responsibilities include programming, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis NC and manual milling and turning equipment, developing work holding methodology, selecting tooling, and creating setup sheets.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED Equivalent. Technical degree, vocational training, or a minimum of 15 years of industry and 10 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently using drawings, process instructions, and test plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in developing NC programs and operating various equipment in the lab machine shop.
- Experience with machining materials such as plastics, composites, aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
