Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc as the Care Team Nurse. In this role, you will be the clinical leader responsible for maintaining smooth operations, managing high-risk patients, providing education, offering direct care and laboratory services, and handling telephone and direct triage under the supervision of the Pediatrician, Nurse Practitioner, and Nurse Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate infection control practices, including standard precautions.
• Assess the physical, emotional, and socio-economic needs of patients and families.
• Provide urgent triage care in the office and conduct telephone triage and crisis management.
• Utilize EMR for accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently.
• Facilitate communication between family, physicians, and other health professionals.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care to prevent complications.
• Maintain pediatric-centered continuing education and training.
• Adhere to general practice policies and procedures.
• Meet the necessary physical demands of the position.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in handling sensitive medical information and HIPAA compliance.
• Working knowledge of EMR, Microsoft Office, and email systems.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Continuing Educational Units (CEU's).
• Practice within American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
