Job Summary

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) is a crucial member of our Post Acute Unit at UVMHN Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing. Working under the guidance of the Staff Nurse, you will provide essential personal care and assist in delivering specific aspects of patient care. Excellent communication, respect, and support for our residents are fundamental aspects of this role.


Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • State of Vermont LNA license
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team

About the Post Acute Unit

The Post Acute Unit at UVMHN Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing focuses on offering tailored care post-surgery and hospitalization. Our programs are designed to prepare, support, and educate patients for a swift return home. We aim to enhance independence by providing care for various conditions such as strokes, neurological issues, orthopedic care, respiratory conditions, and cardiac/post-trauma cases.

Therapy services are available Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to extend to six days a week when necessary. The nursing staff extends therapy sessions to ensure continuity of care and may supervise activities prescribed by therapists.
