Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team at Joyce University as a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician. In this part-time role based in Draper, UT, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our campus facilities. The ideal candidate will showcase proficiency in multiple trades, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and work effectively both independently and within a team setting. From repairing equipment and responding to maintenance requests to ensuring compliance with safety regulations, this position offers diverse challenges and opportunities to contribute to the maintenance of our campus environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle repair/patching, painting/finishing tasks, and furniture assembly.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years experience in maintenance roles, with proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations; relevant trade licenses are a plus.
