Job Description

We are looking for a Master Plumber to join our team at Engineering Excellence - Berkshire. As a Master Plumber, you will perform diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential and light-commercial environments. You will hold a master plumbing and/or gas license as required by governmental regulations, ensuring work is done according to relevant codes. Additionally, you will communicate with customers, promote products and services, and work under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems professionally and accurately.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including water, steam, chemicals, and fuel.
  • Assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations in structures and cut openings.
  • Inspect and test systems, measure, cut, thread, bend, and install pipe and fittings.
  • Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems.
  • Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications for work details.
  • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
  • Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with plumbing training.
  • Seven years’ experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation.
  • Plumbing and/or gas license required by regulations.
  • EPA and safety certifications.
  • Proficient mechanical aptitude and plumbing tools operation.
  • Knowledge of national, state, and local plumbing code regulations.
  • Effective communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions and lift heavy items.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
