We are looking for a full-time Medical Lab Assistant to join our Microbiology team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and maintain a cooperative working environment.
• Ensure specimens are obtained following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers regarding patient information.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Prioritize workload and assist coworkers to ensure productivity.
• Follow proper protocols for specimen handling and distribution.
• Perform patient registration, lab test ordering, specimen processing, and distribution.
• Demonstrate infection control practices and proper specimen transport.
• Perform drug screen collection and processing.
• Engage in continuous self-evaluation and improvement of skills.
• Promote service excellence and growth of the laboratory.
• Perform laboratory tests and assist in equipment preparation.
• Support other laboratory processes as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and strong customer service abilities.
• Certification as a phlebotomist and medical lab assistant preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
