Overnight LPN

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. The LPN/LVN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, following care plans and physicians' instructions, and maintaining professional standards at all times.

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate and provide quality patient care in line with physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to supervisors or physicians.
• Document all care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in developing and updating nursing care plans.
• Take necessary nursing actions based on assessments and desired outcomes.
• Ensure patient needs are met, risks are identified, and appropriate care is provided.
• Adhere to Aveanna policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
• Educate patients and families on healthcare processes and self-care techniques.
• Stay updated on nursing competencies through educational programs and skill evaluations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care standards.
• State-specific experience requirements may apply.

Preferences

• Six months of recent clinical care experience as a Licensed Nurse.
• Experience in home health care.

Physical Requirements

• Must be fluent in English and able to travel.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and reposition patients.

• Good visual, hearing, smell, and touch senses.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations.

• Capability to work in diverse environments, possibly exposed to allergens.
• Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
