Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join The University of Vermont Health Network team. As an RN, you will manage and coordinate care for post-procedural extended recovery and observational care patients in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit. Your responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. You will direct and guide the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and maintain professional standards while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for post-procedural patients in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes using the nursing process.
• Direct and guide the delivery of nursing care and patient education.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification, with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of Cardiac Rhythm course within 3 to 6 months.
• Completion of Critical Care course within 3 to 6 months.

Unit Description

The Registered Nurse may be required to float. On-call duty is not required.
