Senior Mortgage Lender

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Mortgage Lender to join Civista Bank's team. As a Senior Mortgage Lender, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans, fostering relationships with real estate community partners, and identifying and addressing the financial needs of the community. You will embody Civista Bank's mission to enhance the financial well-being of our employees, shareholders, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to acquire first mortgage and home equity loans through various referral partners and community activities.
• Meet with customers at different locations and guide them through the loan application process.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and government regulations.
• Research and stay updated on industry regulations affecting residential lending policies.
• Participate in community activities to promote the bank's credit programs.
• Maintain relationships with local builders, real estate brokers, and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking industry practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
