Store Management Trainee

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Management Trainee to join Aldi's team. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare you for leading your own store successfully. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational plans while mentoring your team.

Starting Wage

$27.50 per hour

Estimated Earning Potential Year 1

Up to $105,000 (inclusive of salary and bonus, location-dependent)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills
• Supervise team performance and customer service
• Communicate company values and foster teamwork among employees
• Ensure store presentation and product quality
• Assist in hiring and managing staff
• Develop and communicate job responsibilities
• Identify training opportunities and evaluate performance
• Manage store payroll and budgets
• Monitor competitive environment and provide feedback
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness
• Order products and manage inventory
• Comply with company policies and procedures

Physical Demands

Ability to handle merchandise up to 45 pounds, perform various tasks around the store, and work with or without accommodations

Job Qualifications

Must be 18 years old, have retail experience, manage teams effectively, operate a cash register, and follow safety guidelines

Education and Experience

High school diploma preferred, 3 years of retail experience, and prior management experience

Travel

Flexibility to train at different locations required
