Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a valuable member of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks such as merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By collaborating with the Aldi team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the shopping experience.

Job Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Handle customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to the management team.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
• Follow company policies while ensuring data security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and adherence to company standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
