Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's smooth operation by handling merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Your exceptional customer service skills will contribute to an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Job Type

Full-Time, 32-40 hours per week

Starting Wage

$16.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI M.A.P. (Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies, maintain security and confidentiality of data

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to provide prompt, courteous customer service
• Efficient cash register operation
• Safe operation of equipment (e.g., electric/manual hand jack)
• General cleaning duties adherence
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Educational Background and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is a plus
