Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's appearance, assisting customers, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, cashiering, and keeping the store organized and tidy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and store operations
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise and place products on shelves at various heights
• Engage in activities like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and walking in the store
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years to work at ALDI
• Efficient and accurate cash register operation
• Proficient in operating equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Ability to maintain cleanliness standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
• Meet requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience is a plus
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
