Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. By collaborating with the Aldi team, you will play a crucial part in delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Offer feedback on products, inventory, and store issues
  • Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
  • Follow cash handling procedures to minimize losses
  • Adhere to company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Able to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
  • Efficient operation of a cash register
  • Safe equipment operation including hand jacks and floor scrubbers
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail experience is a plus
