Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a valuable team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly and customers have a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to create an inviting environment for our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, maintain clean store premises, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assist shoppers, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
• Report product feedback, monitor inventory accuracy, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Carry out store inventory counts, follow cash handling protocols, and prioritize security and data confidentiality.
• Perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, lifting up to 45 pounds, and operating store equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work for ALDI.
• Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment safely and efficiently.
• Capable of delivering prompt and courteous customer service and following company policies.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Possess organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Meet state and local requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages, if applicable.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is an advantage.
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.
