Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and delivers exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include cashiering, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) in your role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide top-notch customer service, aiding customers in their shopping experience.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and other store-related issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses and uphold company procedures.
• Adhere to established company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrate prompt and courteous customer service skills.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Execute general cleaning tasks according to company standards.
• Apply excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work independently and within a team environment effectively.
• Maintain organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is a plus.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
