Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. By collaborating with the ALDI team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism and follow ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and stock shelves efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and overall store operations
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies and procedures while upholding document security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Skilled in operating store equipment
• Capable of meeting state and local requirements for alcohol sales
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• High school diploma preferred
• Previous retail experience is a plus
