Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a critical role in ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, handling cashier duties, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience. This is a full-time position averaging 32-40 hours per week with a starting wage of $18.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with management
• Offer feedback on products, monitor inventory, and participate in store inventory counts
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality
• Perform any other assigned duties as required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment
• Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience is a plus
