Store Team Member

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Team Member to join ALDI's team. As a Store Team Member, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience. Your role will involve collaborating with the ALDI team, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the store's overall presentation.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
• Offer exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
• Comply with company policies and maintain document security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Proficiency in customer service and cash register operation
• Ability to operate equipment and perform general cleaning tasks
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience is an advantage
• A combination of education and relevant experience is acceptable
