Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Trach/Vent Nurse (RN) to join Aveanna Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients, coordinating care delivery, and ensuring compliance with physicians' orders and care plans.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in accordance with physician orders.
  • Observe and assess patient conditions, report changes, and document care activities promptly.
  • Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans.
  • Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessments and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs, intervene to prevent risks, and provide necessary care.
  • Comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and infection control measures.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
  • Maintain competencies through educational programs and skill evaluations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate).
  • Current, unrestricted state RN license and CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and nursing care compliance.

Preferences

  • Recent experience working as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Previous home health experience.

Skills/Abilities

  • Attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Good organization and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English and travel.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing various physical activities.
  • Strong visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity required.

  • Ability to function in diverse environments and handle possible exposure risks.
  • Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
